My mice had babies this week :)
I work in a lab where we use mice as research specimens. Don't worry, they live very comfortably. PETA gives animal research such a bad rep... nobody wants to torture animals. We take very good care of them, and there are federal laws stating that we must not inflict pain on them. If an animal appears to be in pain, it must be anesthetized or painlessly euthanized if it's a permanent condition. Trust me, they are very happy mice. These particular little girls are part of a hereditary study, so we bred them a couple weeks ago, and now... they all have pups! I'm oddly proud of them.
This litter was delivered yesterday. Obviously, that's mama behind them.
